Please watch this brief video with Joy and Porscha to learn more about our faith-based domestic abuse advocacy training.

These courses will be helpful to anyone desiring to improve their response to domestic abuse and coercive control, including survivors, counselors, pastors and ministry leaders. Those who successfully complete the entire year of courses are eligible become CTPM affiliated advocates and will continue to receive support and mentoring from our advocate trainers. These advocates work with survivors referred to them by CTPM to help them navigate the complex issues they face. Advocates may also operate to help churches, counselors and other involved parties create a plan to effectively support the survivors and their children.

I am a totally different person after taking this training and I know that this will be passed on to the survivors that God puts in my path. I highly recommend it!” M.P., MI

“If you want to learn how to compassionately work with victims of domestic abuse to help them find resources and ultimately freedom, this course is for you!” K. H., MA

“It will be the most informative education on domestic abuse and coercive control you’ll ever receive. It will bless you with the knowledge of God’s word as it applies to abuse and/or oppression. [The instructors] are professionals and encouragers devoted to help future advocates be prepared and empowered to help those seeking refuge from abuse.” E.C., IL
